Kobayashi Issa
Kobayashi Issa (1763-1828) was a renowned Japanese haiku poet whose works depicted the beauty of nature and the simplicity of everyday life. Although he lived earlier than the late 19th century, his influence on haiku poetry continued to resonate during this period, inspiring many poets to adopt his style.
